anti-phone propaganda

Dearest All,
Research indicates that phones are really bad.
You should avoid using them if you want to live past the age of twelve.
And texting is worse. (Think age eleven or less.)
But really, dearest All, I fear that I have unreasonable difficulty when it comes to calling people, and it's easier to blame the phone.

I do, however, really love speaking to people face to face. So much is lost over the phone (And so much more via those asynchronous forms of communication.)

Maybe, when you boil everything down; I like faces. Looking at and making weird faces, for which there are no analogous words.

With Warmest Regards,
Eric

  1. This explains why you haven't called.
I have a hard time facing the phone myself.

  3. I like this phone drawing. I like purple. I like the strange breakdown you have developed to excuse what you seem to consider your poor phone habits. And I am here to tell you, you need no excuse! I don't have a cell phone. Well. I have a Tracfone, have you seen those? It is the barest of ancient technologies, and only for car emergencies.

    1. sounds like my kind of phone; inclined as I am toward the archaic... and car emergencies.

  4. I feel that I have been horribly misled. Do you gain any years back if you give a new iPhone to a homeless person? What happens if you look at a bystanders face and pretend like its the person that you are talking to on the phone? What if you looked in a mirror and did facial reactions for both parties?
